Evra Will Play!

This weekend, over at Anfield, the eyes of the world will be on both Manchester United and Liverpool.

Following on from the racist row that saw Suarez receive a lengthy ban for racially abusing Evra, there has been speculation as to whether Sir Alex Ferguson would select Evra, knowing that the home crowd are likely to give him a very warm reception.

Well it looks very much like Evra will start and us United supporters will argue why shouldn`t he.

Evra was the victim of the incident not the perpetrator so he has every right to play and as for the expectant reaction from the Anfield crowd that will be interesting.

It`s not too long since Liverpool entertained Oldham in the FA Cup and a young Oldham player was the subject of racial abuse from somebody in the crowd. The abuse was such that the youngster visibly broke down and in the aftermath he received apologies from hundreds of Liverpool supporters.

Now we`d hope that Evra is just allowed to get on with his game otherwise those apologies will be akin to crocodile tears!

Racism needs kicking out of this sport of ours once and for all - we know there will be a small section of the Liverpool lot who will try using racist taunts against Patrice - and if they get reported I hope Liverpool ban them for life.....
