Jones Boost?
Earlier this week we commented on the growing injury concerns at Old Trafford.
With Phil Jones limping off at the Emirates Stadium and with Michael Carrick carrying a hamstring injury in the latter stages, there were concerns that the two players would be added to an ever-growing injury list.
But, reports that filtered through yesterday suggested that Phil Jones, who turned an ankle and had to be carried away on a stretcher, has responded well to treatment and may be available for the FA Cup tie against Liverpool this weekend.
If so, then Sir Alex Ferguson may be a relieved man. With Nemanja Vidic a long term injury victim and with Rio Ferdinand suffering a re-occurrence of an old injury that kept him out last time out, the presence of Jones alongside Jonny Evans will be a welcome one.

Jonny Evans - no thanks - put Smalling in CD with Jones and why not try playing the Da Silva twins at RB and LB and put together a strong midfield, with Carrick as that defensive midfielder?
