'If It's Football, It's Vital'

An Eye-Op?

Those good chaps at The Guardian are running a story relating to David de Gea this morning.

They`re insinuating that the young Spanish keeper will require n eye operation at the end of the season.

Now whilst it may only be a minor operation I can`t help but feel this would have been news that should have been hushed up.

Simply because I can see it now - all the hue and cry about Clarence the cross-eyed keeper!

There, I`ve got it in first, so hush!

Reading into it more it appears David is long sighted and during matches wears contact lenses - so its corrective surgery so he no longer has to wear contacts at all - so no, its not bad news really

And what will his excuse be once he's had the surgery and still drops a clanger every other game? At least massimo Taibi didn't cost the best part of 20 million!

hes a million times better than Taibi - hes pulled off some fantastic saves and make some dodgy errors - hes young and tbh its to be expected for his first season at OT
