Mentor for Morrison

Young Ravel Morrison seems to be getting more tabloid column inches than many of his more senior professionals at Old Trafford.

With the youngster, seemingly, heading for the exit, Rio Ferdinand has stepped forward and appears to be acting as his mentor with a statement posted on his Twitter account that reads,

"He has got huge potential. I`ve told him and what he needs to do to fulfill it."

But, the sticking point with regards to Morrison staying at Old Trafford appears to be financial with it being reported that he wants more than the 15,000 a week offer put on the table by Manchester United.

15,000 a week! That`s living in a dream world for many juggling pennies around to survive.

Get real Ravel! Don`t throw away a marvelous opportunity to grace the stage of the best club in the world.

Wouldn't it be better to get someone like Scholes to mentor him, if that is indeed what's happening? Much as I dislike Scholes, he appears to lead a vaguely quiet, normal life off the pitch, unlike Giggs, Ferdinand or Rooney. Wannabe gangstas make poor mentors to wannabe gangstas.

FCB none of those players you have mentioned are 'wannabe gangstas' unline Bagotelli, but yeah Scholes would be a perfect mentor for him.
