These Boots Were……..

Paul Scholes may well be two games into a comeback from retirement but one of our leading tabloids has provided an interesting little story about the ageing maestro.

It seems that when Scholes realised he`d like to come out of retirement and made the eighteen for the trip to play Manchester City, there was a small problem with his boots.

It turns out that Scholes had given his match-day boots away on announcing his retirement and the pair he was using to coach the kids were not really suitable.

Now most professionals would simply get on the phone to their sponsors to sort a new pair out, but not Paul.

Scholes took a trip to his local JJB Sports and handed £40 across the counter for a pair of boots.

He`s a legend!
