'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Midfielder Interest!

With Paul Scholes having come out of retirement, rumours still abound that United are looking for a midfielder to assist their title drive.

Whilst accepting that the return of Scholes is an added bonus, we`re realistic enough to acknowledge that the old-timer won`t be able to play in every game.

Therefore the interest in other possible midfielders is, we believe, quite appropriate.

The latest name to be thrown into the proverbial ring is that of the twenty-two year-old midfielder, Ki Sung-Yeung

Currently on the books of Glasgow Celtic, the grapevine suggests that Sir Alex Ferguson may be lining up a bid for a player we admit to knowing very little about.

We`ll endeavour to dig deeper if and when we hear anything more concrete.

Sorry but I dont think hes good enough for Utd - we need a playmaker - someone creative, and attack minded - someone who can bolster up the attack, but also command in the midfield spraying those passes to the wingers.....

NW I agree mate, he not Ubited quality, I suspect this is another bs article which has truth in it, if however we are seriously looking at him, then It must be an interim solution as cover for our injuries. I think if Cleverly does not make a huge impact once back from injury, we will buy a top quality Cm/am in the summer, perhaps Gotze or Modric. I dont believe money is an issue as we showed this summer, but more that SAF expect Cleverly to fill make the step up. It would also be much sweeter to see one of our youngsters to come through and become a top star footballer
