'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Thoughts of Sir Alex (Newcastle Away)

Following the dismal result up at St James Park last night, Sir Alex Ferguson, as he`s obliged to, faced the press.

Reacting to a question relating to the way results had gone for us in the past seven days, namely two defeats, Sir Alex kind of chastised the person responsible for asking the question, remarking,

"Of course it`s advantage Manchester City. We don`t normally lose two on the bounce."

"It`s no time to panic though. We have experience to cope with losing a game. We have to get the show on the road for the run-in in March and April."

And as for the game itself, Sir Alex was magnanimous to accept that United had been beaten by a couple of wonderful strikes, adding,

"We started reasonably well but they scored a fantastic goal."

"They got aggressive and made it difficult. It was a marvelous hit by Ba and the second done was a killer but we didn`t make enough of our possession."

Perfectly true, apart from the incident whereby Rooney was deprived by the goal-line clearance by Simpson, did we seriously test Tim Krul in the Newcastle goal?
