Ronaldo backlash begins.

Cristiano Ronaldo made his return to Manchester United colours with two goals against Oxford United and endured 90 minutes of barracking.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: 'It was Cristiano's first game back and I thought he handled it very well. He took his goals very well. They were both great strikes and he got a terrific reception from the United supporters as well and all in all, he did very well.'

Wonder what the player thought of the heckling, it will surely be just the start of it, will he be able to cope?

Well, according to our last poll he can. We asked if Ronaldo would face a backlash and 60% of Utd fans said he would but he should stay. A further 22% said he will get a backlash and should go. 6% said he would be fine and 12% took the angry line saying 'he has betrayed us asking to go to Real Madrid.'

It was the wink that done it, what an arse*ole, he deserves everything that you guys throw at him and although Rooney has been told to tell the world what wonderful friends and buddies they are he really fools no-one, I say get rid before he upsets the whole apple cart, Man U are going to find it difficult enough as it is this season.

this is bull*****, when portugal played england they were rivals,once they both play for man u they they are playing for the good of one team, their team. Now if rooney was to get gerrard sent off at anfield in a highly charged manc/scouse derby i'd be ******** delighted i wouldnt care as he has just giving his the advantage, so stop looking for a scapegoat, england were ***** at the world cup and if you were to blame anyone how about the four eyed turnip who *****ed off with 5 million for being a complete ***** up.
