'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Martinez Praise for Cleverley

Licking his wounds after seeing United demolish his side 5-0, the Wigan boss, Roberto Martinez, reckons we`re set to become a far more formidable machine once Tom Cleverley returns from injury.

Speaking about a player he had on loan last season, Martinez remarked,

"Tom Cleverley is a player you need to work with to understand the full package."

"The mentality he`s got is quite unique. He`s a winner and we all see what he can do."

"Tom will be refreshed - and that could be the key for United. He`s going to be fully fit and it`s going to be like having a new signing."

"He can make a big impact on the title race."

He most certainly will and with Tom set for a New Year return, things are certainly looking up.

He's a good player with the potential to be fantastic. He adds something to our midfield we haven't seen in a while. Though having already suffered 2 injuries this season already we do need adequate cover for him.
