'If It's Football, It's Vital'

You Tell Me?

Ahead of our encounter with Wigan this afternoon, Sir Alex has, once again, issued a statement about our transfer content this coming January.

If I were to be honest, you can read into what he has said in two ways, see what you think?

"If a really top-class player becomes available, we would go for him. Or if we picked up any further serious injuries, it might be important to add to our squad."

"But let me reiterate, contrary to what some people seem to be fixated about, money for a transfer is not a problem if I deem it necessary."

"You can never say never in football. But I am perfectly happy with the strength of our squad in terms of depth, quality and age range."

"I will not be swayed by the endless tweets and blogs urging the club to get busy in the market."

Never-say-never? Shall we just sit back and wait and see if anything happens?

It would be nice to sign a world class talent but realistically considering the club no big money for players over the age of 26 policy it's not going to happen. All the same we do need another CM, someone who's direct and will take the game to the opponent and will be the driving force forward from the middle of the park. If we don't sign anyone to do that then fair enough but at least give Ravel Morrison or Pogba a go at it.
