Ferguson on the Fulham Result

Talking to the media after the win at Craven Cottage last night, Sir Alex Ferguson, apart from the injuries sustained, appeared to be pretty pleased with the result.

Our gaffer, who is intent on overhauling Manchester City at the top of the table, had this to say,

"It`s not an easy place to come, which is why we`d only picked up one point out of nine in the last three years."

"So it was very satisfying. It was one of our best performances of the season."

And we`re back to scoring for fun instead of nicking 1-0 results!

We've seemingly found the balance between attack and defence. We were gung ho at the start of the season and left ourselves far too exposed. Then we were solid at the back but not committing enough men going forwards and weren't clinical enough with the chances we were handed. In the last few games we've been solid at the back and good going forwards and a combination of poor finishing and goalkeeping heroics prevented us from grabbing more goals.
