Ferdinand Update

With the injury list growing by the game, there is a little piece of good news with regards to Rio Ferdinand.

Rio, who missed the in at Craven Cottage last night after picking up foot problem against Queens Park Rangers, at Loftus Road, on Sunday, should be available soon with Sir Alex Ferguson remarking post the Fulham match,

"Rio got a knock on the foot on Sunday at QPR but he should be available for Blackburn on New Years Eve."

Hopefully we`ll survive until then although with Phil Jones and Nemanja Vidic also on the injured list resources, as far as centre backs are concerned, could be stretched on Boxing Day!

Could be on opportunity for Fryers to step up and show why he should be played. To be on the safe side though i think I'd sooner see Carrick drop to CB and Pogba to play CM. Better yet, Smalling to push over to CB, Valencia at RB (his link up play with Nani down that right wing has been superb) with Park or Morrison playing wide left.
