Cheick Tiote Coming?

As Sir Alex Ferguson struggles to cope with an injury crisis in the midfield department, the word from one tabloid is that we`re front-runners for the signature of Cheick Tiote.

Many Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in acquiring the player who cost Newcastle a mere £3.5 million when signed from FC Twente in August 2010 and who is now priced in the £15 million category.

Although the suspicion is that we could utilize his talents now, it`s inferred that nothing will happen until the summer of 2012.

He's a good player and at 15 mil it wouldn't be the worst buy in the world. Doesn't other that cutting edge through the middle we desperately need though.

Just figured Id come to give you a hug, TFN7 as you usually seem to be all alone here ;o) I see you're busy dreaming again

Not sure newcastle would let one of their best players go for £15m Famous - £20-25m is probably what they'd ask for - after all, they managed to mug the Scousers for £35m for the pony tail and Tiote's clealry a better player! (Not that that's particularly difficult)

I suspect you're right fcb, at the same time though they did let Enrique go for only 6 mil and let Barton leave on a free.
TheFamousNo7
I wouldn't be surprised if they actually paid barton to leave Famous! X)

Haha!

Tiote would be good buy, he is young and talented, and hos done very well at Newcastle. He does though seem at bit slow in their last game, but that could be down to lack of match time. But lets see what happens.
