United - Hands Down!

United - Hands Down!

Manchester City may have barrow-loads of money but sometimes you just can`t beat a reputation.

On the eve of our fixture with Queens Park Rangers, Ashley Young has come out and re-iterated why he chose United over City, commenting to the tabloid press,

"As soon as I heard about Manchester United there was no other club for me."

They`re the biggest club in the world and if you ask anyone who they want to play for the majority will say Manchester United."

"The fan base, the team and what they have won in the past is amazing. I want to be part of that and be able to bring the title back to United again and make history."

"I feel I have settled straight away into the team which for a club the size Of Manchester United isn`t easy."

"But I believe in my ability and feel it was easy to fit in, especially as I know some of the boys and the team spirit they have."

The only criticism I have Ashley is that you started fantastically but seem to have gone off the boil recently!

LOL! What a surprise we didn't hear about this at the time he signed, in the run-up to the derby, etc. etc. Not that I'm surprised that your lot would attempt to make up any old sheidt to try and paint us in a bad light. TBH I'd be surprised if we were even passably interested - there's no room for average players at City anymore, we'll leave them to you.

That's what Young does RedBoy, he plays well in fits and spurts, it's been the same all through his career. As for mentioning City, why? Young doesn't mention City, so why are you?

It's nice to hear Young wants to be here and only ever wanted to be here but it would be nicer if he proved it on the pitch. So far his proved to be a typical English player, patches of great form and great footballing ability shortly followed by patches of non-existence. He needs to be more consistent in his performances and take every opportunity handed to him or risk being a bench warmer.
