Europa League Conundrum

With both Manchester clubs having slipped, unceremoniously, out of the Champions League and into the Europa League, it presented UEFA with a bit of a problem.

It seems that UEFA rules forbid two teams from the same city hosting games on the same night.

Therefore, it has been decreed that Manchester United will play their Europa League ties on the traditional Thursday nights whilst Manchester City will play theirs on a Tuesday evening.

Anyone care to suggest which club got the best of that deal?

Depends what way you look at it. If you want to win the league then City have got the better end of the deal with far more recovery time than ourselves. If you want to win the Europa then we have as there's far more recovery time for the Europa games. That's all assuming you will be playing 1st team players for the tournament which neither team will therefore it really doesn't have any effect on either of us. The 1st team will be for the Prem no doubt whilst the reserves/youth will compete in the Europa.
