Clyne Latest

Earlier this week the gossip suggested that Manchester united were looking towards capturing the services of the young Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne.

If I recall right, Clyne was described as a possible replacement for the retired Gary Neville.

News of our interest has obviously reached Selhurst Park with an article appearing in the red-top press this morning that the Palace manager, Dougie Freedman, has urged the youngster to stay at the Championship club.

Clyne obviously has ambitions of his own as the article also infers that the defender is stalling on a new contract deal.

This is a rumour that could have more legs in it!

We do need another RB with our only natural RB suffering from injuries all the time. Clyne did look good with the potential to be a great RB, his pace and attacking game would mean he would slot right into the squad with ease. We'll have to wait and see if there's any truth in this rumour though.
