A Striker Light?

Some ex-players just love giving out their bit of advice and Paul Ince appears to be no different.

Ince, currently between jobs (to put it politely) has come out in the media in the last forty-eight hours urging Sir Alex Ferguson to buy a striker.

With Javier Hernandez and Michael Owen out injured, Ince obviously believes that a trio of Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Dimitar Berbatov are not up to the task of propelling us to glory, commenting,

"There is a lot of pressure on Rooney and we saw what that did to him in the World Cup."

"If you are going to compete with Manchester City and Chelsea you need someone who is going to score 20 goals a season."

"Nani has chipped in and Ashley Young was flying early on, but they have quietened down so you wonder where goals are going to come from."

If I`m not mistaken, Nani scored a brace last time out Paul!

Have faith, we trust Sir Alex!

We've got a 20 goal a season striker in Hernandez, it's nonsensical to sign another 20 goal a season striker just because he's out for a while. If we do sign another striker then what happens when Hernandez is back, with Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez surely one of the extra strikers will have to leave. The strikeforce is the least of our worries in my opinion. The midfield must surely take priority, we have players there but none, other than Cleverley perhaps, is up to our standards and some will surely have to be offloaded. We either need to sign a CM or start integrating Pogba and Morrison in at a young age.
