Vidic Injury Blow

Vidic Injury Blow

It looks very likely, although the club have yet to confirm it, that Nemanja Vidic has joined those on our long term injury list.

The Serbian defender appeared to damage his knee after a Basel player fell on it during a tackle.

Vidic looked to be in obvious pain and Sir Alex looked to be concerned as the club captain was carried away on a stretcher.

Tabloid reports, this morning, are suggesting that Vidic has suffered medial ligament damage to his right knee, although, at the time of writing, this has yet to be confirmed by the club.

If the rumours are true though, his absence, from the first team, could be for as long as four months.

I hope not!! This will be a bitter blow and really top off our luck recently. I've said it before but the presence and influence Vidic is on the team is simply unheard of.
