Posh Interest

Posh Interest

In the past the accusation has been there that Sir Alex has always been willing to lend his son, Darren, a helping hand.

Sometimes Sir Alex has been charitable in loaning Peterborough players, but now there is speculation that the boot may b eon the other foot.

The grapevine is suggesting that Sir Alex has been impressed with the Peterborough defender, Ryan Bennett.

An England U21 defender, Bennett is highly coveted by Peterborough and speaking about his dads` interest, Darre has remarked,

"I spoke to my dad and he likes Ryan, always has. But unless we get a massive offer there is no way the chairman would sell."

Whilst the Peterborough owner, Darragh MacAnthony has remarked about the situation, on Twiter,

"Seems his 'pops` could be in the mix with other clubs for a certain player But Posh has never been a selling club under me unless it is what`s needed, relax."

I wonder how much money might change their minds!

If he is the real deal then I say sign him up. We're 1 defender short of what we had last season and a couple of injuries and we could be forced to play Carrick or Fletcher at the back again. He wouldn't cost much, the "Posh has never been a selling club under me unless it is what`s needed" is nonsense, they sold their best striker and now a Scotland international in Mackail-Smith for 3 mil.
