Russia or London?

Russia or London?

The press have made a lot about the poor performance given by some of the squad in the Carling Cup defeat to Crystal Palace being their final hurrah.

One player who played, in the loosest sense of the word, was Dimitar Berbatov and the Sunday press are speculating that Berbatov could be off as early as January.

It`s being suggested that the Russian side, Anzhi Makhachkala, are keen to add Dimitar to their portfolio, but there is another possible suitor.

Apparently, Martin Jol is looking at taking Berbatov to Craven Cottage.

Jol was the Spurs manager during the period whereby Berbatov was a this most prolific in a Spurs shirt and wants to use the experienced striker as a possible replacement for Johnson or Zamora.

It`s thought that such a deal could only go ahead if Berbatov can`t be removed form the books on a permanent basis and if a loan deal were t be done then it`d mean United paying a chunk of his reported £100,000 a week salary.

Not an ideal situation but who knows in this crazy game of ours!

Why on Earth would we consider a loan for him when we can just sell him or keep him? Loaning him out won't benefit us in the slightest.
