Duo Dropped / Rested / Disciplined?

Duo Dropped / Rested / Disciplined?

It seems like a good moan might well have got a result, although it won`t bring back the two points we lost courtesy of that dodgy penalty on Saturday afternoon.

Mike Jones, who was persuaded by his assistant, John Flynn, to award a penalty against Rio Ferdinand for what was a perfect challenge, will not be refereeing a Premier League fixture this weekend.

Nor, apparently, will John Flynn be running the line.

Personally, I`d have preferred those who control our game to have issued a public admission that they made a gaff!

The ref wasn't too bad he just trusted his assistant, I don't blame him for that, he may of seen something he didn't. The linesman however should take this opportunity to go to Specsavers. Better yet, why not relieve officials and protect them a bit by introducing technology to the game and aiding them.
