'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rooney Speak!

Restored to his striking role on Saturday, Wayne Rooney was unable to get on the score-sheet.

Instead, it was left to his side-kick Javier Hernandez to tap home the decisive goal.

After the game, Wayne Rooney had a few things to say about his recent flexibility with regards to his starting position, commenting,

"I love it, I don`t care where I play. I`m just happy to be on the pitch, I`ll play anywhere."

"Well probably not at right-back, no. But midfield is a role where you can get on the ball and influence the game a bit more."

But the media have noticed that Wayne is going through something of a drought when it comes to scoring, prompting Wayne to remark,

"The important thing is the team and that we work hard together, win together and lose together."

"I don`t care if I don`t score as long as we win."

You may not Wayne but I`m certain the media will make a big thing of it, especially with the finals of Euro 2012 coming up!
