'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Top Goal?

It`s great to read that one of our own is in contention when it comes to FIFA announcing their best goal of 2011.

Amongst the ten candidates is the stunner that Wayne Rooney scored, against Manchester City in February.

All we`ll say is that it`ll take a fantastic goal to deprive Wayne of a victory when you consider how exquisite that magnificent overhead kick was!

It would be interesting to see what goal, if any, beats it. Rooney's volley was one of those moments that will be remembered throughout history.

The shin of fraud one of the best goals ever? Conveniently forgetting the fact that Shrek himself after the match said he just fluked it.

Whether he meant to do it or not, whether it hit his foot or not is completely irrelevant mate. At the end of the day it was a remarkable goal, apparently everyone in the world can see that par you.

Well mate, I guiess it's a bit like suggesting the 4-3 at old toilet a couple of seasons back was "The best derby ever" when we all know it was really the 6-1 demolition derby.

No offence fcb but I don't see how it's remotely like that. You were fantastic on the day but a demolition will never be remembered as the best as there was no footballing contest. Tight and intense encounters filled with drama from start to end are always the best ones, well that's my opinion anyway.
