Good Luck Phil

With so many youngsters coming through the ranks, Phil Jones gets another chance, this evening, to show what he can do in an England shirt.

Having played as a right-back already, Phil will, tonight, get the chance to play in midfield and show Fabio Capello just how versatile he is.

Speaking about the proposal to select Phil in a midfield position, Fabio had this to say about the teenager,

"Phil Jones will play as a midfielder. I spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson. He told me he can play there because he is a fantastic player."

He certainly is and at a mere 19 years of age, the world is his oyster!

He done really quite well. Broke up the Spanish build-up play quite nicely and when he came off the England defence looked far more exposed without him (though they still coped very well).

He was *****, overhit passes, took the wrong option on numerous occasions and looked clueless. He is not a midfielder, very good centre back for his age but he should stay there.
