Rio`s Absence Explained!

Rio`s Absence Explained!

The tabloid press has made a big thing about Rio Ferdinand not being in the England squad named by Fabio Capello last night.

Naturally, some are trying their hardest to extract the last little bit of scandal relating to the Terry / Anton saga, however the reason for Rio`s absence is perfectly well explained in other places with it being reported that it is all down to Rio`s lack of match fitness with Fabio admitting he spoke to the player at one of the recent dinners in celebration of Sir Alex`s twenty-five years in charge, with Fabio commenting,

"I met him at Sir Alex Ferguson`s award dinner and told him 'Rio, I read what Sir Alex said about you. I think you need to play more games."

"He said, 'Yes, I need to play because I need to find good form."

"I hope he will be fit and in good form for the Euros"

So far from having the door slammed in his face, Rio was given some promising news!
