Good News and Bad News!

Having received a three game ban, for an offence that showed that Rooney is possibly still a temperamental character, there were fears that our striker might not be going to the Euro 2012 Finals.

The possibility that Fabio Capello might decide to do without the striker had been suggested seeing as he`d not be available to play in any of the three group games.

But, the word in the tabloid press this morning is that Rooney will be part of the squad, with Capello obviously believing he`s too important a player to leave behind.

However, those same whispers also infer that Rooney may not, despite wishing to, be selected for the forthcoming friendly fixtures against Spain and Sweden, with Fabio intent on selecting those who could feature in those aforementioned group games next summer.

Good news and bad news then!
