Evra Tragedy

As we prepare for yet another international break, following the round of fixtures this weekend, we`d like to send our best wishes to Patrice Evra.

It transpires that Patrice has been withdrawn from the French squad after undergoing a personal tragedy.

On the eve of the Manchester derby, a fixture we`d rather forget, one of Patrice`s brothers, at a mere forty-two years of age, died of a heart attack.

Understandably, the blow has knocked Patrice for six and the French manager, Laurent Blanc, has granted him permission to miss out on the next round of internationals, remarking,

"He needs a rest, he is affected by a family drama which will prevent him from being with us."

Our thoughts are with you Patrice.

Sad news, all the best M Evra.

Horrible news and the best of luck to Evra. A big thank-you to him also for soldiering on at club-level despite the loss.

Amazing how some players have the steel to push on for their club in times like this. Really respect that. All the best to Evra...
