'If It's Football, It's Vital'

One Game!

As the celebrations relating to Sir Alex Ferguson being in charge of Manchester United for twenty-five stat, Sir Alex has recalled the one game that didn`t turn out his way that really hurt.

It came back in 1995 when we needed to win at Upton Park to take the title. As it turned out we could only draw 1-1 and Blackburn, who lost at Anfield that day, took the title.

Talking about the heartache, Sir Alex has remarked,

"The West Ham game, away in 1995 when we drew 1-1."

"The referee missed a blatant penalty kick when their defender Tim Breacker punched the ball away. It was unbelievable."

"That was the one game I would change because we really deserved to win that day. It was agony the mayhem around that goalmouth. It just wasn`t for us. Fate goes different ways sometimes."

And the thought of Kenny Dalglish, grinning like a Cheshire cat as he`d taken Blackburn to the title, was something all of us found hard to live with back in 1995.

With his recent praise of the Champions League I'm surprised he didn't choose one of the finals. With the squads we've had and the ability we've seen it's a shock that under Fergie we've only won 2 European Cups.
