'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ballon D`Or Nominations?

Those who cater for such awards, named twenty-three players as possible winners for the reference trophy.

In those twenty-three players, only one English name stands out, that of Wayne Rooney.

It`s something that Sir Alex Ferguson has commented on remarking about the top-heavy number of Spanish based players,

"It`s not a shock, but it`s interesting which players are involved. The fact that there are so many Spanish based players on the list tells you something."

For the records, the Spanish based representation in the twenty-three name list includes 8 from Barcelona and 5from Real Madrid.

Justified or not?

I`ll leave you to ponder over your own conclusions!

It's basically between Xavi, Messi and Ronaldo. There's no point getting excited over Rooney being on there or****ed off with UEFA's clear bias towards Madrid and Barca.

Shrek wouldn't be worthy regardless mate, he may have hit form now but he hasn't had the best of years.
