Good News, Bad News Syndrome!

Good News, Bad News Syndrome!

There`s good and bad news in the thoughts of Sir Alex Ferguson after the narrow 1-0 win at Everton.

Firstly, on the win itself, Sir Alex Ferguson commented,

'It's an important result to come away from home and win. Everton is never an easy game and they put everything they could into the game. First half we played some fantastic football and scored a good goal. Hernandez is fantastic in the box. It's a good result and we worked hard for it.'

But things are not quite so rosy on the injury front.

Tom Cleverley limped off but looks as if he`ll be fit for the Champions League fixture in midweek but things are not looking so good for two others who didn`t feature today with Sir Alex remarking,

'Smalling has a small fracture on his foot. I think he'll be out for a month and it's unfortunate that one.'

'Ashley Young has a toe injury that is not going away so he could be out for a couple of weeks.'

Not all good news then!
