Owen on Old Trafford Life!
In front of just over 7,000 spectators, Michael Owen showed that despite relatively few starts, he can be relied on to score.
In only his second start of the season, Owen made it three goals in the competition so far.
But after easing through to the next round, Owen gave those reporters assembled a brief glimpse into Old Trafford life, in the aftermath of the Sunday we`ll not be allowed to forget in a long time, commenting,
"As you can imagine, the laughs and jokes have quietened down a little bit."
"Sometimes you need a kick in the teeth to get going and it was a big kick in the teeth. We were eager to bounce back."
"We were under a little bit of pressure with the result at the weekend.
"Although no one here started then, you still have Manchester United`s reputation to look after."
We`re sure things will soon return to normal!
Besides there`s always our trip to the council house when it comes to re-establishing the status quo!
