Changes?

Changes?

Following on from our Carling Cup victory, at the Recreation Ground, last night, Sir Alex Ferguson was quick to praise those eleven players who had replaced the eleven who`d lost, heavily, to Manchester City.

Sir Alex chose to use several fringe players last night and he now knows that those very same players are knocking on the door when it comes to being selected on a regular basis, commenting to the media afterwards,

"They are always giving me nudges."

"It`s the difficult thing about having so many good players. We have a fantastic squad and that is why I had to play these players here. They need games."

"They have not had many first team matches because the consistency of the team is very good."

"But Michael Owen, every time he plays he scores. He has a fantastic record. You cannot ignore that."

"Dimitar Berbatov had a fantastic game and scored a tremendous goal."

"Tom Cleverley coming back is a good thing. He is an outstanding footballer."

It all points to an interesting selection headache for the trip to Everton this coming weekend.
