'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Most Hated

A survey I stumbled upon has Manchester United down as the most hated club in England.

The survey infers that, of those approached, 30% opted for United when it came to naming their most hated club.

But, I wouldn`t be too worried because lurking in second place with 10% of the vote were our title rivals, Chelsea.

Reading between the lines, it infers, seeing as though we`re the only two teams to have won the Premier League title in the last half dozen years; that success breeds jealousy which in turn evolves into hate!

"Success breeds jealousy which in turn evolves into hate!" - Nicely put. People will pretend otherwise but let's face it, people hate it when someone else is successful.
TheFamousNo7
You don't need a vote when it comes to knowing who the most hated club is in the world. All you need to do is ask a City supporter and we would tell you straight!!

Nothing to do with the whiningcheatinginyourfacedirtynastyfoulinghackingfergietimepressuretherefs attitude or anything. Not a bit of it, we are all just SOOOO jealous of you! P.S. I don't hate Chelsea.

Exemplary behaviour. Pity your manager wasn't speaking to the BBC at the time, would love to have heard his thoughts on MoTD.

here's another reason why people hate you:

I often wonder how rag fans can keep a straight face when they say this guy is one of their greatest ever players:

Of course everyone loved the way that none of your "fans" thought he'd done anything wrong:

Bad challenges and players surround the ref, wow, that happens in pretty much every match in the Premier League fcb for feck sake. Hardly a reason to hate a team. Success breeds hate, always has done and always will do. It's not the case with everyone but most people it's a blind hatred just because we 'win everything'.
TheFamousNo7
Clueless.

Nice of you to admit that you are oblivious to the reasons that all rival fans hate manure Famous - Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal - all have had pretty decent successes in the recent past, yet they still all hate you. Are you telling me they're jealous too?
fifthcolumnblue
Liverpool during their dominance were hated. Arsenal during their dominance were hated. Chelsea during their dominance were hated. Now your seeing your club becoming a force and you're now being treated with a lot of hostility and hatred. See the link?
TheFamousNo7
I never hated any other football club expect for yourselves TF7.
Bluedub
I second what Bluedub said. I suspect if you ask most other fans (ie Birmingham and Villa fans), they hate each other with a passion, but they ALL HATE THE RAGS. Your club is venal from top to bottom, it has been for 70-80 years and that will not change, no matter how many trophies you win or how many you don't win.
fifthcolumnblue
If your club's the most hated British club ever it's so much easier to point to envy as the reason than confront the real source of the hate.
Howard
Un***d fans have had their heads up their own arses for so long that they've come up with a whole raft of justifications for their behaviour and the widespread antipathy towards them Howard. Nothing will change any time soon I'm afraid.
