Squad News v Otelul Galati (a)

With a poor return of a mere two points from our opening two games, Sir Alex Ferguson will be looking for three points in Romania tomorrow evening.

As far as the squad goes, Rio Ferdinand has been left out although his centre-back partner, Nemanja Vidic, has traveled and could make his first United appearance since the opening day of the season.

Others who have not traveled include Tom Cleverley and Rafael Da Silva, both of whom are injured.

Squad - De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos, Evans, Fabio, Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Park, Young, Valencia, Berbatov, Diouf, Hernandez, Owen, Rooney, Welbeck

Champions League qualification or not the Premier League must always come first, especially against opposition like this. A side made up of Lindergaard, Fabio, Jones, Smalling, Evans, Valencia, Giggs, Carrick, Park, Berby, Owen with Vidic coming on for the last few minutes and Diouf getting half a game at the expense of Park, should be more than enough. If it's not sufficient enough then some of the fringe/squad/reserve players clearly need a massive kick up the arse.
