Rooney`s Gets Hammered!

Rooney`s Gets Hammered!

Did anyone else grimace last night?

Okay so we were expecting UEFA to come down on WAYNE Rooney and possibly increase that one game ban, fro his red-card, to two, but to receive a three game ban seemed almost spiteful.

In fact it seems so draconian that one tabloid is reporting that Fabio Capello threw his hands in the air and remarked "Oh my God."

Now it seems that kicking out at Montenegro`s Miodrag Dzudovic, could possibly cost Wayne a place in the squad or could result in Wayne going and taking no part in the action if England can`t get past the group stages.

Off course the Football Association are likely to appeal but will they get very far?

An instant red card warrants a 3-match ban, i'm not complaining because it could have been far worse. His place in the England squad can't be under any uncertainty though. He's Englands best play by far and his quality will be needed in the rounds he will be eligible to play in, assuming England even get that far.
