Fletcher to Play?

Fletcher to Play?

In our match preview we suggested that having played two games for Scotland, in quick succession, Darren Fletcher might not start for Manchester United at Anfield.

Having just made a full return from his debilitating illness, we thought it could be a game too far.

But, a leading red-top would beg to differ.

It states that Sir Alex Ferguson is perfectly aware that on the last 4 occasions we`ve lost to Liverpool, Fletcher hasn`t played. But on the last 3 occasions we have beaten Liverpool Fletcher has been in the side.

We`ll see shall we!

We need him to bring balance to the midfield. Anderson and Cleverley are great for the attack but don't add much defensively whilst Carrick and Gibson are just useless really. Fletcher could very easily nullify Gerrard or Adam instantly taking away won of Liverpools key players.
