'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No!

Just a quickie to get the blood boiling!

With the squad returning from various international squads, attention is turning to the epic Saturday lunchtime fixture with Liverpool, at Anfield.

It promises to be a real test with Liverpool, under Kenny Dalglish, looking to recapture former glories.

There`s also the fact that a certain Stevie Gerrard will be making his return to give the fixture some added spice.

Therefore, perhaps the last thing we wanted to hear was that the fixture will be refereed by Andre Marriner, the referee that sent off Nemanja Vidic the last time he was in control of one of these highly charged affairs back in 2009!

No Torres now though to terrorise the defence, though there wasn't one for quite some time after his drop in form. Tottenham showed the Premier League how to beat Liverpool, you stop the service to Suarez and if Tottenham can do it so can we. Carroll should be easy enough to play against whilst their wide-men are decent, they should struggle against Evra/Smalling/Fabio/Rafael. Adam can be handled by Fletcher whilst Lucas isn't about to pull the strings from midfield so he's of smaller concern. The fullbacks can be a real threat but I reckon they've got too much on their hands in Nani/Young/Valencia to even consider bombing forward. Still days off yet but I can't help but get excited!!
