Welbeck Wanted!

Welbeck Wanted!

Having trained with the full England squad this week, we await to see if Fabio Capello selects Danny Welbeck for the crucial Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro tonight.

If he doesn`t there is every chance that Danny could be whisked away from the full squad to join up with the U21 squad with Stuart Pearce admitting that his U21 squad has injury problems in advanced positions, commenting after the U21`s fine win against Iceland last night,

"We have suffered two hamstring injuries to two players so in my mind it certainly becomes a consideration."

"I will have to speak to Fabio and one or two others. We will see how the dust settles and get an understanding of the situation."

"I wanted to take on Norway with the squad I had here in Iceland. But the two injuries have really put us flat to the boards in advanced positions."

We`re sure Danny will jump at the opportunity!

I reckon, with his form and link up play with Rooney and Young considered, he should really be playing in the game v Montenegro. No offence to the other England strikers but I reckon he's more clinical in front of goal (par Bent of course), more of a physical presence and more of a team player.
