'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Prominent Jones!

Many may have expected Phil Jones to take some time before becoming a United regular.

But, in the space of a few short months the versatile player has made such an impact that he`s now one of the first names Sir Alex Ferguson feels compelled to scribe on the team sheet.

Speaking about his quick rise to prominence in a United shirt, Phil has commented to the media,

"I wanted to come to Manchester United and play regularly, having played most of the games for Blackburn week in and week out."

"I knew that was a tough ask here but I`m enjoying it and I love doing what I`m doing."

And as for the victory on Saturday against a resilient Norwich side, Phil further added,

"It was a difficult game. Norwich came here with a game plan and stuck to it."

"It made it difficult for us to break them down but we showed the signs of champions in getting two late goals late on. It`s a big win for us."

"As champions, football fans expect you to turn up and be the best every game. Yet we know football isn`t like that and it was proved here. It was very frustrating."

"They made it difficult and we had to be patient."

Patience is a virtue that football supporters have never really had in abundance is it!

Evans is out of his league when surrounded by potential world class defenders in Fabio, Rafael, Smalling and Jones and current world class defenders in Vidic and Ferdinand (though not on current form for Rio). Jones has been sensational since joining and to think there was question marks over his price tag from other clubs.
