'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Only a Minor Knock!

The absence of Ashley Young from the18 yesterday caused a few ripples of anxiety around Old Trafford.

But it seems that it was just a precautionary measure with the player being rested with a knock, something Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed afterwards when he remarked,

"Ashley had a knock, it wasn`t worth risking him with the Liverpool game coming up and the internationals. He should be okay for England but he just wasn`t quite right to play against Norwich."

That cleared that up then!

Good to hear. His presence was missed yesterday and whilst I like Park and his workrate is invaluable he's more of a big game player and he doesn't quite have the same effect on opposition as Young, Valencia and Nani. Personally I would've opted for Nani wide left yesterday with Valencia wide right and Fabio at RB.

Agree with you Famous, why he did not play Valencia on the wing, I dont understand, perhaps to give Park some pitch time.
