Ferguson`s Unhappy!

Ferguson`s Unhappy!

From cruising to losing, it just about sums up last nights performance!

With Basel seemingly out of it, the Swiss side contrived to turn things around and only a last gasp goal from Ashley Young got us back on an even keel.

Understandably, Sir Alex Ferguson wasn`t too impressed when he gave his post-match interview and remarked to those hanging onto every word,

"We were careless, a lack of concentration killed us. We threw the game away. It was a good performance in the first half but we were left grappling to get a result."

"It`s a wake-up call losing three goals at home. The defenders and midfielders have got to be better than that."

They certainly have. Far too many times this season, despite often winning games, our defence has been sliced apart far too easily.

But, as we`ve come to expect from our loveable gaffer, theirs is always the odd barbed comment or two and this time around it`s related to the penalty, with Sir Alex,

"It was never a penalty, you could see quite clearly Valencia won the ball, it was a poor decision."

But one we have to live with!

Besides, qualification should still not be too difficult to obtain looking at our group even though we`ve only amassed two points so far.
