Hamstring Strain!

The Rooney injury came as a surprise.

Beforehand there had been no inference that anything was up with the strikers` fitness.

Following the fixture Sir Alex Ferguson slightly cleared matters up though by remarking,

"Rooney has a slight hamstring injury."

"It`s not a serious one but I think he could be out for a week although we will have to see."

We`d infer that Rooney shouldn`t be risked, in midweek against Basle as there are bigger and better fish to fry in the coming weeks!

You certainly look rather poor without Shrek in the team.

He shouldn't of played against Benfica. We need back-up in the CF position for when Rooney is unable to play or atleast change the system a bit so his presence in the CF role won't be missed.

Even when hes not scoring hes making chances for others - hope he comes back soon, and I dont think will play against Norwich next weekend either
