De Gea Passes Biggest Test Yet!

It was a fixture that was meant to be a real test for David De Gea.

It was meant to be the fixture whereby the frailty of the Spanish youngster would be severely tested by the physical nature of the way Stoke play.

But as it turned out, De Gea, apart from one fumble when coming for an early Rory Delap throw-in, did more than enough to make him a candidate for the man-of-the-match award.

After the game, Sir Alex Ferguson was fulsome in his praise for his young keeper, remarking,

"De Gea made a great save in the first half and later on in the first half tipping around the post."

"He was very confident, nothing disturbs him, terrific composure."

And a star in the making with it being suggested, by some, that even the great Edwin Van Der Sar would have struggled to make one or two of those saves!

To all those who said he would flap at everything and would lose us points this season - well in fact I think he is on the start of a very long and illustrious career with Utd and will win some major trophies over this year and the coming years,,,,,
