'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United Leads the Way

Am I the only one who hates the term New Wembley?

For just how long will it retain the New tag before it resorts to being called just plain old Wembley?

Perhaps the problem could have been eradicated at source if they`d opted for common sense and built our national stadium away from the decaying capital city.

But I digress!

Reading through the tabloid press this morning, I came across an article that lists the clubs who have made the most appearances at (and here it comes again) New Wembley.

The list takes into account appearances in any competition there and you might be interested to know that Manchester United currently head that list.

Indeed the top three are:-

1 - Manchester United - 11
2 - Chelsea - 9
3 - Portsmouth - 5

Personally I`m not too surprised about the top two but the third team, in the list, did surprise me.

don't know why portsmouth is a surprise, they've been to two FA Cup finals and semi-finals and a Community Shield

In fairness the name was a shock at first but when you think about it a bit it's not too shocking at all.
