'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Letting Your Club Down

Following on from the victory over Leeds United, last night, the media are reporting that it was far from an uneventful night off the pitch.

Apart from trading songs that should really be outlawed, it appears that there were scenes of horrific violence outside the ground as both sets of supporters clashed with each other.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, a high ranking Police Office said it was amongst the worst violence he`d encountered and that the participants ranged from 15 to 55 years of age.

And there was I thinking we`d left this sort of crap behind!

football violence is appalling. I guess though it is difficult to argue with these type of "fans", and degrading a football event into a fistfight is just pathetic. What happend to online or just vocal banter..

Violence of this nature really needs stamping out - I was horrified to learn about the Istanbul banner - it sickened me
