Mancini Bleats!

After making their Champions League debut, in midweek, Manchester City`s boss, Roberto Mancini reckons his side have been given a bum deal.

Speaking about the fixtures after Champions League games, he`s had this to say,

"I don`t know what the Premier League can do."

"But it is definitely better to play at home rather than away after the Champions League. Okay United have an advantage."

"After playing in the Champions League you need to recover."

"But if you are flying back from a game and then have to travel in the Premier League it becomes tough to recover. You can`t train, you can only rest."

Roberto mate, if you`re not happy then you can always reflect on life in the Europa League and being featured live on ESPN on a Thursday night!

Breaking news: Massive conspiracy theory revealed - The FA collaborate with English hating UEFA to ensure United win Champions League and Premier League. Yeah right have a laugh, it was the luck of the draw.

Pretty certain we done more travelling than City also, playing away in Portugal then playing at home in comparison to playing at home then travelling to London. If Mancini's squad is struggling with the games then that's his fault, he should've bought a squad capable of handling the fixtures or rotated his squad well enough to cope with it.

It's not a draw TF7, it's decided by a panel and it's a ******** disgrace. If it was reversed Slur would be crying about how the FA were out to get him. As for bleating, that is what sheep do, in other words that's what Rags do. You wonder why people can't stand Utd it's because of idiots like Red Boy and TF7

Everyone is an idiot to the never wrong Bluedub. Do you seriously think there's some sort of massive bias conspiracy going on? These comments are as laughable as Rafas facts. City fans once the most hospitable now the most paranoid and hostile.

Nothing paranoid about it TF7, just stating facts. If the shoe was on the other foot Rags would be crying conspiracy, whereas City fans are taking on the chin and saying it's a tough break as is Mancini. Wake up and smell the coffee mate.

What is laughable about the comments TF7? Mancini is saying Utd have an advantage in this regard which is true.

Coming from the guy who believes our fixture list isn't the luck of the draw and can't be random. Well what is it then? A paranoid conspiracy SkyBlueSuedeShoes? No you're right i'm the paranoid one. Bluedub, what I find laughable is his search for excuses. We had an advantage because we played at home granted but then again he had an advantage as he hasn't had to leave England and City have done far less travelling than ourselves in the past week. You've also been at an advantage as whilst you're not 100% fresh and are suffering from a European hangover you've only had to play Fulham, good side yes but even at home they're not quite Chelsea. If his players are tired he should rotate, he's spent enough money and has the squad to do it ffs!

No offence mate but my interpretation of it is he's just making excuses, plain and simple.

He's stating facts, these comments were made before the game, it's something that has been discussed ever since the fixture list came out mate. It's very strange that all 6 of City's games following CL are away from home is it not?

As for having the squad, unfortunately we're thin in the centre of the park at the minute with De Jong and Milner injured. Not an excuse mate, just a fact.

What it showed Niteworlok is that we are not being clinical enough, not really much to do with squad depth imo. Granted if De Jong or Milner or Hargreaves were fit it would give Mancini the opportunity to rest either Yaya or Barry, but there's nothing can be done when injuries come into play, it's just about luck. City's depth is just as strong as U*d's in every area. The difference at the moment is that U*d are taking nearly every chance that comes their way and riding their luck on occasion at the back.

Well said TF7... It's really simple and natural that a team like City, who haven't experienced this kind of fixture schedule, should find it a bit, well, overwhelming.... Mancini is also used to Italy where things are much better fixture-wise... Still though...being 2-0 up and then getting a draw, with the kind of players city has? hmm.... being tired, doesnt really do it for me... I'm sure chelsea and arsenal will be thinking the same things "That Man United!!! They've gone and fixed the fixture draw again..."
alexpant
Alexpant - that really is rich coming from a U*d fan. Almost every season Slur has a moan about the fixture list.

You're just not getting it lads are you. Every game after CL City are playing away from home and no it's not luck of the draw. What happens with the fixture list is there is a computer generated random draw to begin with, then this list is adjusted to accommodate the police. So for example both U*d and City will be playing on Sundays this year after CL and both can't play at home on the same day for obvious reasons. All Mancini is saying is that U*d have an advantage because the panel that adjusts the fixtures saw fit for U*d to play at home after every CL fixture while City play away. I find it incredible that you guys can't accept that for what it is, he is not whining or making excuses, he is just stating a fact.

Fair point Niteworlok, apparently he's going to play some part against Brum on Wednesday so should be interesting to see how that one goes.

there is definitely a bias toward United and every true football fan knows this - the PL should do everything in their power to make provision for ALL our sides playing in Europe (including the "golden child" clubs of man u and Liverpool who seem to get this treament anyway) to either keep em at home or give an extra day if thats not possible when they get back to blighty

And Bluedub - I really wish Owen well - Im just really sorry he could never show his true skill for us due to horrible injuries - I hope he does really well at City, but never score against us :P
