More on That Takeover Bid!

The report a leading tabloid ran yesterday (Friday) inferring that there could be a takeover bid coming our way continues to rumble on.

The rumour infers that the Qatari royal family will be overseeing a 1.6 billion takeover bid has already provoked a response from the Supporter`s Trust Chief, Duncan Drasdo, who had this to say to the same tabloid that broke the rumour yesterday,

"We would like any potential new owners to use the club`s revenues to fund the club rather than extracting money from it, as the current owners are."

"We would like the chance for fans to share in the ownership."

As we mentioned yesterday, we`ll continue to issue any updates when available.

I can't imagine the Qatari Royal Family being even remotely interested in our revenues when you consider how wealthy they are. They will guarentee long-term financial stability and with the sort of money they would bring they would ensure we remain a dominant force in football.

The fans can have a say in teh finances of the club..they just have to do what everyone else has to do...buy the shares! Be on the receiving end instead of forking out the ticket prices etc
