Rooney Hat-Tricks

Wayne Rooney may have equaled Sir Bobby Charlton`s record of seven hat-tricks for Manchester United, with his three at the Reebok Stadium, but he still lags behind a few others when it comes to the Premier League.

In fact Wayne stands in 5th place in the list of those who have scored the most hat-tricks in Premier League football with the list being as follows:-

Alan Shearer - 11
Robbie Fowler - 9
Thierry Henry - 8
Michael Owen - 8
Wayne Rooney - 7

Still only twenty-five years of age, I`d expect Rooney to climb that list and overhaul those above him, especially as, apart from Michael Owen, they`re now all wearing carpet slippers in retirement!
