Rooney Is On Fire

Rooney Is On Fire

Back-to-back hat-tricks, in Premier League games, have certainly put a smile on the face of Wayne Rooney.

The twenty-five year old continues to notch up milestones in his career and the hat-trick yesterday, the seventh of his Manchester United career, saw the striker equal the club record set by the legend that is Sir Bobby Charlton.

When asked about Rooney in his post match interview, Sir Alex Ferguson positively bubbled when he remarked,

"The important thing is that he has started to mature. He is 25 and when a player gets to his mid20`s he starts to get more authority in his game."

"To score back-to-back hat-tricks doesn`t happen very often. He is in great form at the moment. He is very sharp.

Anyone care to guess how many Premier League goals Wayne will end up with season?

Based on current form it's hard to see Rooney not beating the 20-25 mark and possibly enter the 30's. I think Sir Bobby is going to see a few of his records broke. Make it a hat-trick of hat-tricks Rooney and slip 3 past Chelsea! :P
