Did United Turn Down Rodwell Offer?

Did United miss out on a bargain in the last transfer window?

One news source I stumbled upon implies that Everton were looking to offload Jack Rodwell.

In fact this news source is suggesting that Everton were so desperate to offload the exciting young midfielder that a fee of 15 million was being banded about.

Now whether they were keen to raise some finance to bolster their own squad isn`t made clear or whether they might have rued any such deal once the Mikel Arteta (to Arsenal) deal went through.

But what is clear is that if the offer was genuine then we reckon Sir Alex Ferguson would have had good reason to turn it down

As a Spurs fan, I wish you would have signed him. SAF is no mug. He is overrated, on par with Henderson. Rodwell is not worthy to wear the Man U shirt. You missed nothing.

I like the lad but with his recurring injuries any potential transfer is a worry.

For me jury is stil out on him. Was developing fine until last season, where he was inconsistent fitness and form wise, of course, getting injured early on in the season against Villa (3rd game) put him behind the 8 ball so to speak. But this is the season where Rodwell has to justify his price tag. I dont see Moyes "offering" Rodwell to United though, not often you hear that.
